If I could have any super power I want I would
choose to shape shift into anything I want, have Kung Fu skills, and have super
strength. With my shape shifting powers, I would go undercover to stop gangs
and drug dealers from doing damage to any city and for the fun part I would do
pranks on my friends for example, I would shape shift into Chris Brown and go
to one of my friend’s house and say, “ You’ve won a chill day with me!” Or
another thing for fun is go rob a bank and when I get all the money I’m going
to change my identity and go to Mexico, they will never catch the thief. If I had Kung Fu I would stop snatch pursing thieves and if they tried to fight me I’d
make them wish they never challenged me. With my last power; super strength, I would help
people in a falling building like if it was falling over I would catch it and
put it back in its place so no one was hurt.

Why I am Against .......
I am against the rule
of banning us Early College student’s cell phones. I am against it because we
have a right, and we shouldn’t be treated like prisoners. It’s already bad
enough that we do not have market place and the food we are being served is vile
and unsanitary. Since are phones are banned how are we supposed to know if our
parents text us saying there’s an emergency or something? Some parents can’t
call because they could be at work, or some emails. For example; I am supposed
to ride the Lorain bus, but then my mom needed me to ride the Elyria bus to go
to my grandmothers. How am I supposed to know what bus I ride if I do not have
my cell phone? I understand to not have it in the classroom, but in the hall
way or in any building is just unwarranted. As Early College students I feel
like no one cares about our words and what we want. If they are not paying my
phone bill then I should be allowed to use my cellphone anywhere I am except in
the class room. I feel like our words do not matter we should be treated better
and that’s all I have to say.

Zombieeeeeeee!
As I struggle to stay
on good terms with my neighbors after my son became a zombie, we constantly
argue of whose turn is it to go and get more food supplies. So instead of arguing
anymore I volunteer myself. I grabbed a machete with a back pack on my
shoulders and I headed out the door. Its evening and the sun is slowly setting.
I walk block after block after block, and by the time I find a little grocery store
its pitch black outside. So before I enter the store I turn on my flashlight. I
grab anything I see just to hurry and get out of the dark store and back to my neighbor’s
house. Suddenly, I hear something fall and roll across the floor behind me. I
quickly turn around to see nothing there, so I assume it’s just a mouse. A
couples minutes after into getting the supplies I hear a dripping sound behind
me so I turn around again, to find this buff looking zombie with a leg in one
hand, blood shot eyes, and blood dripping from its mouth growling at me. I turn
to run but find another zombie in front of me, but this one had half a body.
Both zombies started coming towards me, so since the one with half the body was
small I started running towards it and cut the head right off its body. The
buff zombie was still running after me so I run and run as fast as I could. I
lost the zombie when I ducked behind this building, I’m gasping for air then all
of a sudden I turn around and I see my son. I dropped to my knees and started
to cry. He was coming towards me arms out and I have a flash back, my son and I
playing in the back yard having so much fun. I came back to reality when I felt
a sharp pain in my neck, my son has bitten me. I can feel the disease flowing throughout
my veins all of a sudden everything went dark. I am a zombie with bloodshot
eyes, white ooze dripping from my mouth, having the need to feed.

My name... Imani
My name is Imani and it
means faith
I was named after the
model Iman
She was skinny and tall
with a perfect tanned face
My name is from the
language Swahili
But when I get older I
can name myself freely
Others like it, but I’m
not a big fan
My name is so basic,
it’s boring, and it’s bland
I want a unique name
something that no one has
One that corresponds to
my character is that too much to ask?
My name is as simple as the colors black and white-simile
Wanting my name to go with my flow as the day brings light
- imagery
My family gave me a
nickname, they call me Mani
Everything about it
just doesn’t gratify me
My name first
originated in Eastern Africa
Slowly but surely it
became known in America
I respect my name and my name respects I-
personification
My mother gave it to
me, so it’s one thing I can’t deny

Aliens What I Would Do The Next Day
If I found out that
everybody was an alien, the next day I would just pack up and leave. I’d leave
at night so they couldn’t see me, then I would grab my clothes, weapons, armor,
and as much food as I could and run away. I would also take a helmet for protection
for my head, so the aliens wouldn’t take over my brain. I travel and travel,
walk long distances until I end up on an island where there is only animals and
me. I’d hunt for my own food, make myself a little hut or something, and I
would call the island MANITROPOLIS. Just in case the aliens find me I would set
all kinds of traps and train myself to kill them. I would also train the
animals to learn how to kill the aliens too; nothing could get past me because
I would have the greatest protection. I will be the queen and defeat the
aliens. I would be potent;
these aliens wouldn’t have anything on me.

Birthday Party Pinata
I was made by a man
with a dream. I am 10 feet tall and 130 inches wide. My creator crafted me with
a neon blue color of paper mache, which is a special type of paper; it’s so
rare not even Michael Jordan can have it. I was made into the beats headphones,
because I was so unique I already had things stuffed inside of me so people didn’t
have to buy things to put in me. I had all kinds of special prizes; I had huge
chocolate bars, mini sodas, Oreo’s, and much more! So one day I was just
minding my own business when one day a woman stopped and looked at me. I wanted
to say what are you looking at but of course piƱatas can’t talk. The woman
picked me up took me to the register and out the store we went. 15 minutes
later we arrive at a huge house and I can see a lot of little kids running around
and screaming, hitting each other and crying. To myself I’m thinking lady why
am I here, but then she took me to the back yard. I spotted a sign that said
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TROY! So the lady hangs me up on a tree and hands Troy the
stick. He hits and hits and KABOOM! I broke open. All the kids are having a
good time until FEH FIH FOO FUMP! A little fat boy comes stomping towards all
the candy. He comes and pushes all the little kids out of the way and everybody’s
just staring at him gathering all that candy. So I say to myself there’s always
that one greedy little kid who’s just obligated to scarf down all the candy from everyone else. What a wonderful
birthday party.

Real friends take care of each other by.....
Real friends should take care of each other by being there for each other when either one is going through tough times. Real friends tell the truth and never keep secrets, for example say I have a friend named Sam and she had got into an argument with another girl named Kayla so now they don’t like each other. If Sam doesn’t like Kayla then I’m not supposed to be talking to Kayla because Sam might think I’m talking about her to Kayla. Another example of real friends are ones who don’t gossip about your business and tries to put you out to the public. Real friends don’t do sneaky things to each other. Its fake for a so called friend to talk about you behind your back one day and the next day all in your face acting like they are the realest friend you have, that’s called being fake and people don’t like that. My last example of a real friend is someone who has your back no matter what. Today there are so many melees because people who say they are real friends lie and do sneaky things.

Zero to a Hero real quick
Heroes can be anyone at any point in time, especially when tragedy strikes. There are many examples of how a stranger or anyone can be a hero by their actions. Sereika was an alcoholic who had to go to rehab, because of his past people started to think differently about him. His paramedic license was suspended and after that his life changed a lot. One day he got a voice mail form his sister saying, “I love you, I know you’re out there helping." That was a wakeup call for him and a moment to change his life. Sereika put on his uniform he had stored away and headed out the door to go help find survivors. When Sereika gets to the World Trade Center he starts to look for survivors. A couple minutes into the search he is at a location where Officer Jimeno and Mclougin who were buried under the debris. He yells, asking if anyone helps he hears a voice screaming, “I’m here!" He follows the voice there he sees the two officers. One of the officers tells him not to leave so Sereika says he won't. Since he can't leave Sereika calls his sister and tells her to call 9-1-1, she does then help arrives. The men exhausted men were replaced with men who had energy. Sereika went home and decided to change his life. These are actions of a hero because he never left those men until help arrived.
On the other hand Sereika isn’t the only hero I read about. Another person who I would consider a hero is a man named Rolfe Carle. He was just an original news reporter until one day something tragic happened that changed his life. There was a little named Azucena who was stuck in a mud pit, after a volcano erupted in Colombia. Carle never suspected that he would find a fragment of his past, lost thirty years before. As soon as Carle saw Azucena, doing everything in his power to help and give her hope that she will be free she just had to stay alive. Rolfe had an idea to get her out of the pit, he just needed a pump. So he called and said on TV. can anyone please help him get a pump, but no one answered. The pump came too late and Azucena was dead. This affected a big part of Carle’s life so he went home exhausted. The next day he stared outside the window and never said a word. I think these are actions of a hero because he did everything in his power to try and save her, while other reporters document her and the people at home just sat and watched the TV. did nothing to help.
Saving Buddies From the Floodies
If there was a huge flood and I only had one boat, but can only fit five animals I would take a large cow, polar bear, a giraffe, a dog, and a monkey. First, I would take a large cow because i would need something to eat and drink, but before I kill it I would milk it until I have enough milk to last me until the flood is gone and then I would kill it to eat. Second, I would take a polar bear because they are already becoming extinct it would break my heart to see the last one gone, so I would save it. Third, I would take a giraffe because what if one day the flood is gone there's dry land again? Well since there wouldn't be any cars left I would need something to ride for long journeys, getting around faster, and because its tall it has a good chance of keeping me dry. If there would be tress left it could help me reach apples and things nutrition stuff. Fourth, I would take a dog because I would need a companion, a friend to talk to and play with so I don't go insane. Lastly, I would take a monkey just to take it, monkeys are fun and so cool to play with, also they're funny to me and it would be like having another human with me even though its an animal. Usually I'm tenacity about things but I just love animals. These are my reason why I would save these five animals.
Bottled Memory
The memory I would bottle up is the one and only time I chilled with my oldest brother. It was awhile ago when I was maybe about 7 or 8. I was at my grandma’s house and he came over to get me and we went to the store and bought all kinds of junk food. After we came from the store we went to his house or little apartment and ate all the food. It was really good then after that we watched some movies and fell asleep. His girlfriend or ex-girlfriend came over and interrupted our nap, I was mad because it was just peaceful and so serene you could hear crickets outside. That whole day with my brother was just chill and we had good conversations, just catching up with each other because I haven’t seen him in a long time. When I miss my brother I would open the bottle almost maybe everyday because I think about my brother all the time. Keeping that memory and never loosing it is something I would really cherish because I never know when I am able to see him again. With my brother I felt extricate like I could tell him anything, he was the type of person to not judge others. Having that recall brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart.
Invite to my 3's
Three people I would pick to have a cup of tea or coffee would be my grandma, Drake, and August Alsina. The type mug my grandma would get is a mug that’s shaped like a house, the kind of drink we would have is tea because that’s her favorite kind of drink. Our conversation would just be about us catching up on my life and hers. We would talk about my grades in school and what I would like to be when I graduate. Drake’s cup would say “oh yea, oh yea” because that’s his favorite phrase to say in all of his songs. We would drink hot chocolate, and have a conversation about his songs, and I would ask him is it true that half of his songs are something about his relationships. Lastly, Augusts’ cup would say, “Keep It Real” because he’s always talking about staying true and real to people never to be fake. We would talk about his life growing up in New Orleans and how he just started from the bottom and made his way to the top.
